Program Associate, Mellon Opportunity for Diversity in Conservation, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA

The Mellon Opportunity for Diversity in Conservation at UCLA is offering a full/time position for an associate manager and instructor for a multi-year program supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The program, based in Los Angeles,  is designed to provide access to and mentoring for underrepresented students and post-baccalaureates in the field of conservation of cultural heritage. The program is the second phase of a Mellon-supported pilot begun in 2017, and the successful candidate will work on developing outreach materials, performing outreach at area colleges and universities, working with an advisory board, generating and evaluating applications for funded summer workshops, and generating and evaluating applications for funded pre-program internships. Teaching in the workshop, arranging internships and mentoring participants toward graduate study, are also part of this program, as is disseminating news of the outcomes through publications and social media.
