Summary:

The SI American Art Museum Lunder Conservation Center has a requirement for A textile conservator to complete a condition survey of up to 102 textile artworks, including estimates for treatment and installation.  The Contractor will then treat up to 60 works surveyed to prepare them for installation in the 2020 Women in Fiber Exhibition at SAAM.  The work will include examination, treatment, preparation for installation, documentation photography, conservation reports (condition / treatment / installation) and supportive documentation, and installation onsite in the DWRC galleries prior to exhibition. 

 

The work to be completed under the award shall begin on July 1, 2019 and must be completed by Oct 16, 2020 and includes final reports and photography.

 

The award will consist of a Firm Fixed Price line item for the services requested, with supplies provided by the Lunder Conservation Center.
