The National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian is looking for a dynamic Museum Conservators to join the Conservation Unit.

Title: Museum Conservator

Grade and Series: IS-1001-11

Salary Range: $72,030.00 - $93,638.00

Type of Appointment: Trust

Location: Chantilly, Virginia
This position is located in the conservation unit of the Collections Department at the National Air and Space Museum.

Duties: The primary duty of these positions are to work as part of a team of conservators to examine, document and treat objects for display in the newly re-designed and upgraded galleries at the Washington, D.C. museum location. The candidates will work with gallery team members and curators to provide exhibition design needs, environmental requirements and mount recommendations. Both large and small artifacts will require varying levels of treatment and preservation.
