The National Portrait Gallery is looking to appoint a Conservator: Works on Paper that will be responsible, as part of a team, for the conservation and preservation of works on paper and photographs held in the National Portrait Gallery’s Collection.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who have a MA degree in Conservation or previous experience in the Conservation of Works of Art on paper within a gallery or museum setting.  A detailed understanding of Art on Paper, their requirements and conservation treatments is therefore essential. You will need to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues within Conservation and across the Gallery. The post-holder will have line management responsibility, so candidates will need to have the ability to supervise, motivate and develop the Assistant Conservator: Works on Paper to achieve collective and individual goals.
