Speakers for our 2019 programme
IIC's International Training Centre for Conservation, delivered in collaboration with the Palace Museum, Beijing is pleased to announce its 2019 training programme.
The topic is 'Scientific Approaches to Ceramics and Glass Conservation' and it will be led by distinguished professionals and IIC Fellows. Speakers include Dr. Jixiang Shang, Director of the Palace Museum, Sarah Staniforth CBE, President Emeritus of IIC, Stephen Koob, from the Corning Museum of Glass and Dr. Austin Nevin from the University of Gothenburg.

This is an opportunity for mid-career professionals to address topics in depth ranging from preventive conservation, storage, cleaning, thin-section petrography, ethical issues and re-restoration.
It's also a wonderful chance for 12 conservators and cultural heritage professionals from anywhere in the world to explore Beijing and the Palace Museum. The course is also free if you are a participant from mainland China, but you should seek support from your institution for attendance costs.
