According to Julia Jacobs' article, "
Saving History After Chinatown Fire" , in the March 23, 2020 issue of The New York Times, the tens of thousands of artifacts which were in the archives of the Museum of Chinese in America when their home was destroyed by fire on January 23rd were removed from the building for salvage on March 8th and at least some portion of them have survived. There is some good news in these difficult times. #conservationinthenews
