My name is Veronica Vallotto and I'm a graduate student in Restoration of Cultural Heritage, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona. My report deals with a topic of common interest in this field: Graphic documentation of restoration. Nowadays this practice presents some gaps because of the absence of a representational standard to unify the executional method. For this reason, I have created a very short survey to understand how you, insiders, approach the documentation and its importance in your work.

I would kindly ask you to take the survey at the following link.

I hope that these questions can open a debate on the fundamental role that representation and documentation of the restoration work hold. This subject is often underestimated because it is often secondary to the actual intervention, but it is essential to preserve the history of cultural heritage.

The project is supported by restorer and Professor Stefano Marziali, my thesis supervisor and by Prof. Buzzanca Giancarlo.

I remain available in case you would like to remain informed on the evolution of this project.

I would like to thank you for your attention and collaboration,

Best regards,

Veronica Vallotto
