The AICCM Textiles division is pleased to announce that the next Symposium will be held at National Gallery of Victoria in June 26-28th 2024.

The theme of the Symposium is Culture Cloth Connection with a focus on research, conservation, and display of textiles and how cultural aspects have influenced these conservation activities.

The organising committee now welcomes abstracts of up to 250 words as an expression of interest for presenting at the Symposium.  Please indicate whether you are interested in a full-length presentation, lightning talk, or a poster.

Full-length presentations should be tailored to 20 minutes in length. Lightning talks should be tailored to approximately 5 minutes in length.

When submitting your abstract please inform us whether you would be interested in writing a full-length paper for the Bulletin. If there is enough interest, we will investigate producing a specialist AICCM Bulletin issue using papers from the Symposium.

To submit your abstract (see attached proforma), send it to Kate Douglas (kate.douglas@ngv.vic.gov.au) or Skye Firth (skye.firth@ngv.vic.gov.au) by close of business on March 1, 2024.
