Summary:
The Smithsonian American Art Museum Lunder Conservation Center has a requirement for a paper conservator to complete a condition survey of 150 watercolors from our Mary Vaux Walcott collection and minimal treatments for removing and replacing hinges and rehousing up to 150 of these works in preparation for exhibition and travel. The work will include examination, treatment, rehousing, documentation photography, conservation reports (condition / treatment), and supportive documentation.
The work to be completed under the award shall begin on Sept 9th, 2019 and must be completed by January 31st, 2020 and includes final reports and photography.
The award will consist of a Firm Fixed Price line item for the services requested, with supplies provided by the Lunder Conservation Center.
