Biography

Corina E. Rogge is the Director of Conservation at the Menil Collection. She earned a B.A. in chemistry from Bryn Mawr College, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Yale University and held postdoctoral positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center (Houston). Before joining the Menil Collection, she was the Andrew W. Mellon Research Scientist at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Menil collection from 2013-2023, and the Andrew W. Mellon assistant professor in Conservation Science in the Department of Art Conservation at State University of New York Buffalo State from 2010-2013. She is currently serving as the President of the American Institute for Conservation; she is an AIC Professional Member and Fellow and an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Institute for Conservation.

Biography

Dr. Abed Haddad is the Assistant Conservation Scientist in the David Booth Conservation Department at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, where he collaborates with staff and allied professionals on research, treatment, storage, and environmental quality and monitoring. He is interested in the characterization and technical study of modern and contemporary artists and materials and expanding access to collections through scientific analysis, public programming, peer-reviewed publications, and data-driven decision-making. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, where he teaches advanced technical studies of cultural heritage. He was an International Research Experience Fellow with Northwestern University-Art Institute of Chicago Center for Scientific Studies in the Arts (IRES NU-ACCESS) at the Rijksmuseum and the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2016, and the David Booth Fellow in Conservation Science at MoMA (2019-2022). He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Millsaps College and a doctoral degree in Chemistry from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). In 2025, he was elected Vice President of The American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (FAIC).

Biography

Elmer Eusman received his diploma in book and paper conservation in 1989 from the Dutch National School for Conservation, a four-year program now incorporated in the University of Amsterdam. He continued his studies in the Corrigan-Greca private conservation studio in Paris, the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum, and the British Museum in London. He completed a three-year post-graduate fellowship at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and worked as a conservator at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Boymans Museum in Rotterdam, and the Library of Congress. For almost ten years, he served as the Special Assistant to the Director for Preservation in the Library before he became the Library's Chief Conservator in 2013. He has presented and published research on a number of topics including wet-dry boundaries on paper, mechanical paper-strengthening, Dutch print publisher Ploos van Amstel, iron gall ink corrosion and the migration of iron ions, and incorporating project management strategies for multi-year conservation projects. His experience within AIC includes serving as the Chair and Program Chair of Book and Paper Specialty Group and serving on various AIC and BPG committees. He currently serves as the AIC and FAIC Treasurer.

Biography

Alex B. Lim is an architectural conservator based in southern Arizona and serves with the National Park Service at Tumacácori National Historical Park, where he works to preserve Spanish mission remains and associated cultural landscapes. His practice focuses on the conservation of archaeological sites, historic structures, and heritage places in partnership with descendant communities, interdisciplinary teams, and public stakeholders.

Over 14 years of public service, he has worked throughout the American Southwest—including the Four Corners region. Prior to joining the Park Service, he also worked in the arid climates of Turkey, Greece, and Azerbaijan, focusing on archaeological site conservation. His experience spans field conservation, project planning, and long-term stewardship in complex environmental and cultural contexts. He is committed to advancing conservation practice through collaboration, public engagement, and responsible preservation of shared heritage. He holds a Master of Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in the natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University. His path into conservation began after a formative semester in Florence, Italy, and an internship at the National Museum of Asian Art, which led him to specialize in architectural and archaeological conservation. An active member of the AIC, he values professional service, interdisciplinary exchange, and mentorship within the field. He is committed to strengthening connections across specialties and supporting a welcoming professional community for both emerging and established conservators. He enjoys engaging with local cultures and languages as part of his work and daily life. He speaks intermediate Spanish and Turkish and is fluent in Korean.

Biography

Gregory Bailey graduated in 2011 from Buffalo State College with an M.A. and C.A.S. in Art Conservation with a focus on the conservation of objects. Since that time, he has been awarded a Kress Fellowship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a Mellon Fellowship at the Walters Art Museum, where he also went on to work as Associate Conservator. He is the 2016-2017 recipient of the Booth Family Rome Prize in Historic Preservation and Conservation. From 2017 to 2019, Greg served as Objects Conservator for the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery. Greg returned to the Walters Art Museum in 2019 as Senior Objects Conservator. Greg is a Professional Member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), for which he also serves on the Board of Directors. Greg is Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Institute for Conservation (JAIC) as well as Associate Editor for Studies in Conservation.

Biography

Margaret (Maggie) Wessling (she/her) is Senior Conservator and Head of Photograph Conservation at the National Gallery of Art, where she has led the photograph conservation program since 2023. Maggie holds a Master of Arts and an Advanced Certificate in the Conservation of Art and Historic Artifacts from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University. She has worked at a range of museums, libraries, and private practices, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Northeast Document Conservation Center, and the New York University Libraries. Maggie has been a dedicated contributor to AIC and FAIC for nearly a decade. She served on the FAIC Collaborative Workshops in Photograph Conservation Committee from 2017 to 2023, serving as Chair from 2018 to 2023. She has been a member of the Education and Training Committee since 2023, serving as Chair from 2024 to 2025, where she shepherded a new initiative for foundational skills training that included the 2025 series on inclusive mentorship practices.

Biography

Sarah Reidell is the Margy E. Meyerson Head of Conservation at the University of Pennsylvania Libraries. A Fellow of AIC with a focus on libraries, preventive conservation, and special collections, she is serving a second term as the AIC Board Director for Communications (2025-2028). Sarah has held other volunteer and elected positions within AIC and BPG. Sarah received a Masters in Library and Information Science with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Conservation and Preservation from the University of Texas in 2002. Prior to her current position at the University of Pennsylvania Libraries, she held appointments as Rare Book and Paper Conservator at The New York Public Library and Special Collections Conservator at the Harvard University Library.

Biography

Samantha Springer is a conservator of sculpture and three-dimensional objects with a particular interest in working with living artists of contemporary art that are typically marginalized and underrepresented in Western institutional collections. As owner and principal conservator of Art Solutions Lab based in the Portland, Oregon area, Springer works toward providing ethical and practical solutions to collection stewards who seek the guidance of a conservation practitioner. Art Solutions Lab offers professional and high-quality consultations, loan & pre-accession evaluations, broad collection assessments, grant writing assistance, courier services, learning & lecture opportunities, expert evaluations for insurance claims, as well as preventive and hands-on treatment services for sculpture, decorative art objects, utilitarian artifacts, some textiles, installation art, and modern and contemporary materials. Prior to starting Art Solutions Lab, Springer worked as Conservator at the Portland Art Museum, where she was responsible for the preservation and direct treatment of the broad Fine Arts collection, establishing and maintaining a lab at the museum proper, and integrating conservation theory into everyday museum practices. This followed her work as Associate Conservator of Objects at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Springer graduated from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2008 and held internships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, and Alaska State Museums. Her research and publications include preventive topics, the treatment of contemporary art, and collaborations with native basket weavers. Samantha has served on the AIC Board since 2024.

Biography

Lissa Rosenthal-Yoffe joined AIC/FAIC in 2022. As Executive Director, she brings extensive nonprofit leadership in arts, culture, and social impact. Her career spans national advocacy, coalition building, fundraising, and strategic communications, focused on advancing equitable access to the arts and humanities. She previously served as Executive Director of the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative and the Future of Music Coalition. Past roles also include Development Director at MoMA PS1 and Pittsburgh Glass Center, and Programs Director at the American Council for the Arts (now Americans for the Arts), where she led national Arts Advocacy Day during the “culture wars” of the 1990s.

Incorporating her passion for arts and culture with broader social change, Lissa also served as National Program Director at PAX: Real Solutions to Gun Violence (now part of the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence), and as National Corporate Sponsorship Officer and National Senior Team Director at MZA Events, where she helped produce AIDS Walks and Dance-a-thons, raising awareness and millions of dollars for AIDS service organizations across the country. Her background also includes leading public relations and program development for major cultural, food, and community events in Pittsburgh and New York City. She holds degrees and advanced study in Art History, Fine Arts, and Museum Studies, and currently serves on the boards of the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Arts Lab of South County. Lissa lives on the Western Chesapeake, where most evenings are spent listening to music and making sculpture. Personal interests include anything square, plastic, and pickled. She likes to wear black.
