The Head of Conservation is an exciting new leadership role which provides an opportunity to further develop collections management in PRONI. The post holder will provide a professional lead and strategic direction for the broad range of preservation and conservation activity and collection care provided by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level, with the scope to influence and shape the direction of the conservation service. You will have a qualification in paper conservation (books and documents) recognized by ARA and/or ICON, along with Accredited Conservator-Restorer status through Professional Accreditation of Conservator Restorers (PACR); The Institute of Conservator –Restorers in Ireland (ICRI) or an equivalent body or be able to demonstrate your commitment to gain it.
