Cringe, but contemplate the diverse museum staff and the “ extraordinary vision of who we could be in the future

Whether or not one has seen( or is going to see)  the recently released Wonder Woman movie, WW84, one must read Sanchita Balachandran’s review of it published today on Hyperallergic. She discusses what is cringe worthy in terms of the behavior of museum personnel and museum policies and what is off in terms of museum personnel demographics in 1984 (and in 2021)— the presence of very many people of color in non-menial jobs. Cringe at museum staff breaking collection objects, but contemplate the diverse staff and the “ extraordinary vision of who we could be in the future”.
