Dear Colleagues and Friends of the IMF,
The in-person International Mountmakers Forum conference that had been planned for the Getty Center in November 2020 has been postponed to 2022. We apologize for this necessity.

But please join us for the VIRTUAL INTERNATIONAL MOUNTMAKERS FORUM to be held the week of October 26-30, 2020! Exact dates and times will be determined in early September.

Conference registration will begin in September 2020. There will be no registration fee for this event, but registration will be required to attend.

Due to this change, the CALL FOR PAPERS deadline has been extended to August 28, 2020.

We invite authors to submit an abstract of no more than 250 words for the following formats:

    • Full length "live" presentations (20 minutes)
    • Short talks, tips or tool talks (5-10 minutes)
    • Posters (with live discussion time)
    • Panel or Group discussions
    • Pre-recorded workshop tours
    • Virtual "hands-on" workshops (1 hour)
    • Since this is a new format for the IMF, other presentation ideas are welcome too!

Please submit all abstracts to: contactmountforum@gmail.com

    Important Dates:

    • Deadline for submission: August 28, 2020
    • Notification of acceptance: September 4, 2020
    • Deadline for final submission of PowerPoints, posters or video recordings: October 9, 2020

In preparation for the event, the IMF Steering Committee would like to invite you to complete a brief survey to learn more about the interests, preferred formats, and general comments of potential attendees. The survey should take only a few minutes to complete, and it will remain open until midnight on July 31st. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing your opinions.

Looking forward to seeing you in October!

    Sincerely,
