Julia is currently a Senior Project Conservator at the Penn Museum, focusing on the treatment of monumental Egyptian stone. Julia earned her MS from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2017, specializing in objects conservation with a minor in preventive care. Graduate internship positions at the American Museum of Natural History, the Gordion Excavations, and the Penn Museum supported a specific interest in archeological materials, which was further developed through post-graduate training at the J. Paul Getty Museum Antiquities Department and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Additional interests include preventive conservation and public outreach.
