Nicole Grabow is a freelance Cultural Heritage Conservator providing training and consulting on community-based preservation projects and emergency preparedness/response/recovery for collections. Formerly the Director of Preventive Conservation at the Midwest Art Conservation Center (MACC), Nicole trained as an Objects Conservator and transitioned to preventive conservation in 2018. She has taught workshops on conservation-related topics including arsenic testing, cleaning feathers, maintenance of outdoor sculpture, silver polishing, preventive conservation, emergency planning, wet salvage, and art handling. She has experience working with Native American collections and working with Native institutions on a variety of collections care topics. Nicole graduated with a MS from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2003 and is a certified CAP assessor and an AIC Fellow.
