Savannah Adams is a book conservator at the San Francisco Public library where she has worked since 2023. She holds an MSLIS from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in Art History from the University of North Carolina of Asheville. Before joining the preservation unit at SFPL, she worked as the Graduate Assistant at the John “Bud” Velde Conservation Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During her academic training, she completed internships at the Champaign County Historical Archives, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Black Mountain College Museum + Art Center, and the Asheville Area Arts Council.
During graduate school, Savannah served as an elected officer on the board of UIUC’s Society of American Archivists Student Chapter, first as Publicity Officer and then as President. She is currently in her first term as Co-Chair for AIC’s Library and Archives Conservation Discussion Group.
